A 42-year-old Newport man was killed after he was hit by a car on U.S. 27 Thursday night, according to the Cold Spring Police Department.
Ivan Chandler was walking when he was struck by a vehicle just after 7 p.m.
Chandler was transported to University of Cincinnati Medical Center for treatment, where he later died.
The driver involved remained on scene and is cooperating with investigators.
