During a regional summit Wednesday focused on early learning, EducateNKY announced their new vice president of early learning and family power.

Jenny Watson is an educational leadership consultant based in Boone County and previously was the assistant superintendent for learning support services at Boone County Schools.

Watson will be in charge of connecting local programming for kids with families who may be unaware of or unable to access the opportunities available to them.

EducateNKY’s Start Strong summit was focused on early learning, kindergarten readiness and family engagement in Northern Kentucky’s river cities. The event highlighted ideas and approaches for collaboration to ensure NKY kids are prepared for kindergarten.

Watson received her undergraduate degree in elementary education and teaching at Xavier University in Cincinnati. She went on to earn two masters degrees in educational leadership and administration and elementary education and teaching before earning her doctorate in education in 2021.

EducateNKY is a local nonprofit that is working to ensure the Northern Kentucky education landscape is one of the best at meeting the needs of families and learners, according to their website.
