Covington residents can enjoy free admission to the Behringer-Crawford Museum this coming Saturday, Dec. 21.
The Behringer-Crawford Museum’s “Holly Jolly City Days” exhibit will be free for city residents on “Covington City Day,” which is slated to last from 10 to 5 p.m. To get in for free, people must show proof of Covington residency, such as a driver’s license or mail. The free admission applies to all of the museum’s exhibits, located at 1600 Montague Road in Covington’s Devou Park.
Visitors can check out 13 animated displays in the Holiday Toy Trains exhibit, “A Window Through Time” display with vintage Christmas décor, and a LEGO Makerspace for creative play.
The “Holly Jolly Days” holiday exhibits include:
- Behringer-Crawford Museum’s 33rd Annual Holiday Toy Trains exhibit, with 250 feet of eight O-gauge Lionel model trains riding along 250 feet of track, featuring dozens of buttons to push to activate carnival rides, ice skaters, a cow-abducting UFO, and more. New additions to the exhibit this year include a miniature roller coaster and a festive cake factory.
- An interactive LEGO play space and exhibit by the Ohio-Kentucky-Indiana LEGO Users Group.
- “A Window Through Time” exhibit features vintage feather Christmas trees decorated with German ornaments and antique décor from the 19th and early 20th centuries.
- A preview of the “White Christmas” exhibit, which will return in 2025, features original costumes from the 1954 holiday musical worn by its famous cast.
Other exhibits include “The Road to the Bengals,” which shows visitors an in-depth look at the evolution of the Cincinnati Bengals franchise.
In addition to the museum exhibits, there will be a Polar Express Reading & Craft at 11 a.m. and the Hills of Kentucky Dulcimers Performance from 2 to 3 p.m. — both are included with Covington City Day admission.
Behringer-Crawford Museum’s Holly Jolly Days run through Jan. 12, 2025.
