Drees Homes, one of the largest homebuilders in Greater Cincinnati, revealed a new company president in the wake of a longtime executive’s retirement.
Tim Terrell, the executive vice president and chief financial officer, is set to become Drees Homes new president, according to a company press release. Terrell joined Drees Homes as a strategic partner in 2017, guiding company decisions and overseeing several departments. Prior to Drees, Terrell was the vice president of finance and capital management at Kroger.
“For 96 years, the incredibly talented team members at Drees Homes have been enriching lives by making it easy for families to build their dream home,” Terrell said in the release. “It’s an honor to be part of a company with such a rich heritage, and I look forward to collaborating with our dedicated team to further accelerate our growth and enhance the homebuyer experience.”
Terrell’s promotion follows Dan Jones’ retirement. Jones served as Drees’ executive vice president of homebuilding operations. In the role, he oversaw the company’s 13 metropolitan divisions and led marketing, production, land and product strategy.
Jones first joined Drees Homes in 2001 following the acquisition of Zaring Homes, where he served as president.
“Dan’s leadership, ability to pivot, and dedication to supporting his team have been crucial to our success,” Drees Homes CEO David Drees said in the release. “Dan’s genuine care for people and unwavering loyalty to Drees and the Drees family have left an indelible mark.”
