Walton City Council voted to table the approval of the Boone County comprehensive plan during its meeting Tuesday evening.
The council chose to push back the first reading of an ordinance that would approve the plan, which is titled “Our Boone County: Plan 2045” and lays out goals and objectives to help guide land use and development throughout Florence, Union and Walton.
Councilmembers expressed that they wished to read the plan more thoroughly before making a vote on it, and decided to address it at their next meeting on Tuesday, Aug. 13.
