Later this month, a health fair offering free screenings and other resources will be held in Newport.
The event is set for July 20 in the Newport Laudromax parking lot at 1711 Monmouth St. More than 15 health and social service agencies will be there to provide various health screenings and information on immunizations and quitting smoking.
Narcan samples will be available, along with mammograms and on-site screening for HIV and Hepatitis C.
The event will be held from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., rain or shine.

There is no cost to attend. The health fair is being put on by UK Healthcare and Newport Laundromax.
Free tours of the Newport Laundromax will be available all day, and free soft drinks and wash coupons will be given to attendees of the fair.
