The mayor of Elsmere, Marty Lenhof, alongside several city council members and staff, commemorated the opening of their new city building during an open house Thursday afternoon.
After a couple of years of planning and construction, the modernized and expansive building is complete. The center is all-inclusive, housing city administration officials and the Elsmere Police Department under the same roof.
“This building allows us to keep looking ahead for the benefits of this city, for years to come,” Lenhof said. “Thus following our motto, ‘moving forward and making tracks.'”
