Police are asking for information on a crash that occurred Sunday evening on the Buttermilk Pike on-ramp of I-75 that led to the death of a 4-year-old.

The crash, which Kenton County Police Department’s Serious Traffic Accident Reconstruction Unit is investigating, happened a little after 9:30 p.m. when a man struck the back of a box truck that was stopped on the on-ramp.

The 4-year-old was a passenger in the car, officials said. The driver and the 4-year-old were taken to St. Elizabeth Medical Center in Edgewood, where the child died. The driver was transported to UC Medical Center, where the police said he is currently in stable condition.
