The Backpacks Bonanza event will take place at the Covington location of St. Elizabeth Medical Center on Aug. 10, with 1,100 backpacks filled with school supplies to be given away to Northern Kentucky students.

Kenton County car crash results in death of 4-year-old
A 4-year-old child, Micaela Lopez, died in a car accident on I-75 on Sunday after her father, Steven Lopez Rodriguez, struck a box truck while driving a Hyundai Sonata. Rodriguez is currently in stable condition at UC Medical Center.
