The Clay Wade Bailey Bridge will undergo routine repairs starting Monday, April 22. The repairs are part of a project that is scheduled to go until Nov. 1.

“The project will consist of replacing joints, sealing joints, repairing steel and approach/truss drainage repairs,” according to a press release from the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet District 6. “The contractor plans to utilize a single lane closure for the majority of the project. One lane of traffic will be maintained in each direction.”

The work is part of a roughly $2.9 million contract with M&M Services, which is based in Mt. Sterling. The project is expected to be finished by Nov. 1 and may require the bridge to be closed for as long as ten days. Signs will be posted letting the community know about lane closures and repair schedules. Drivers who frequent the bridge should plan accordingly.
