RYLE WRESTLING TEAM

Ryle won the Region 5 wrestling tournament over Walton-Verona on Saturday, 233-215.
Landon Evans (113 pounds), Rider Trumble (132), Caleb Duke (175) and Travis Steiber (190) claimed individual titles.
Trumble is ranked first in the state in his weight class. He had two pins Saturday, including Walton-Verona’s Timothy Sulfsted, with five seconds left in the second period.
Other Ryle standouts from the region meet finishing in the top four were: James Haas, second place (144 pounds), Colin Ross, second place (157), Seth Page, third place (126), Luke Cornwell, fourth place (106), Jagger Irvin, fourth place (120) and Hunter Schimming, fourth place (150).
LUDLOW BOYS BASKETBALL TEAM

Ludlow won the Northern Kentucky Athletic Conference Division III title last week with wins over Dayton (55-48) and Bellevue (70-58).
Under first-year head coach Aaron Stamm, the Panthers are 19-10 and have one of the top scorers in the state in Jaxson Rice, averaging 30.1 points per game. Spencer Brandenburg (14.3 points per game), Elijah Perrin (9.7 ppg) and Ethan Powell (8.5 ppg) have also been key contributors this season.
The 19 wins for Ludlow is their most since the 2003-04 season, when they went 25-5.
RYLE ARCHERY TEAM

The Ryle archery team won the MQH Knights Classic in Erlanger over the weekend with a team score of 3,356 and defeating the seven-team field by 135, St. Henry finishing in second with a score of 3,221.
Ryle was led by the first place individual overall performance in Lauren Vu with a 292. Christian Wallace finished third overall with a 289. Ryle had four of the top five overall finishers, Kennan Caudill fourth with a 287 and Jared Evans fifth with a 285.
It marks two weeks in a row Ryle has finished at the top, winning the Ryle Raider New Beginnings tournament on February 4.
LUDLOW GIRLS BASKETBALL TEAM

Ludlow claimed the Northern Kentucky Athletic Conference Division III title last week with wins over Villa Madonna (60-31) and Bellevue (58-41), improving to 15-13 on the season that also included a win over St. Patrick earlier in the week.
The Panthers under Blake Clary are led by the Garrett’s, Mylee and Addy, Mylee averaging 16 points per game and Addy with 12 per game. Three others in Ava Hoffmeister (7.7 points per game), Prestyn King (6.4 ppg) and Olivia King (6.9 ppg) have also led to the team’s success. Mylee Garrett recently scored her 1,500th career point as well.
Ludlow has one regular season game left at Newport on Friday before they begin the postseason in the 34th District Tournament.
