Need a break from holiday shopping? Want to get away from your in-laws?
Well there’s plenty of high school hoops action over the next 10 days to get your fix in.
While some pre-Christmas tourneys have already begun, there’s still some that have yet to get underway this week and some big tourneys post-Christmas as well.
Here’s a look at the local tourneys and who is playing where and when:
Scott Winter Classic (Scott High School, Dec. 21-23)

Here’s the list of NKY teams and where they’re playing over the next two weeks headed into the New Year:
BOYS
Beechwood: After playing in the Swauger pre-Christmas, the Tigers will head to South Oldham to play in the South Oldham Christmas Tournament December 27-29. They open up with Seneca at 2 p.m.
Bishop Brossart: After hosting Bellevue and Pendleton County on December 20-21, the Mustangs are off until December 28 when they’ll play at the Dan Swartz Classic at Bath County Dec. 28-30. They open up with Harlan at 3:30 p.m.
Bellevue: Are off until Jan. 3 after the Swauger.
Boone County: Are off until Jan. 7 after the Scott Winter Classic.
Calvary Christian: No holiday tourneys, but do play Dec. 20 against Campbell County, Dec. 22 at Ludlow and Dec. 30 vs Dayton.
Campbell County: Take on Calvary Christian Dec. 20 and at St. Henry Dec. 21 before they head to Lexington for the stacked White, Greer and Maggard Holiday Classic at Lexington Catholic. They open up with Kentucky signee Reed Sheppard and North Laurel on December 27.

Conner: After the Scott Winter Classic, they play in the Gussler Holiday Invitational at Thomas Worthington in Ohio, Dec. 27-29 where they’ll open up with Dublin Coffman (Ohio).
Cooper: Start at the Legacy Nissan Dribble Drive Challenge at South Laurel on December 20, opening with Knox Central. After Christmas, they’ll head to Owensboro to play in the Independence Bank Classic and open up with Butler County on December 27.
Covington Catholic: Headed to Florida for Kingdom of the Sun Tournament in Ocala, opening up with Suncoast (Florida) on December 27.
Covington Latin: Just two pre-Christmas contests, lost to Hillsboro Christian (Ohio) on Monday and play at St. Patrick on Tuesday. They’ll be back in action on Jan. 2 at Robertson County.
Dayton: Just one contest over Winter break, at Calvary Christian on Dec. 30.
Dixie Heights: Start play in the Lee’s Famous Recipe Holiday Classic at Madison Southern on Dec. 21-23, opening up with the hosts on Wednesday. Post Christmas they have just one game scheduled at Scott on Dec. 27.
Heritage Academy: Start play today in the Berea Holiday Classic against Model. After the Berea tournament, will have off until Jan. 5 at Ludlow.
Highlands: Opened play at the Mason County Invitational Tournament on Tuesday with Henry Clay. That tournament runs Dec. 20-22. They’ll then play at the South Oldham Christmas Tournament Dec. 27-29, opening up with McCracken County.
Holmes: After the Swauger, they’re off until Jan. 4 when they play at Cooper.
Holy Cross: Started off Winter break with a win over Boone County on Monday and play at Roger Bacon (Ohio) on Thursday. They head to Lexington post-Christmas for the White, Greer and Maggard Holiday Classic at Lexington Catholic, opening up with Lyon County on December 27 at 7 p.m.
Lloyd Memorial: Playing in the Lee’s Famous Recipe Holiday Classic at Madison Southern, starting on Wednesday with Pulaski County. The Jugs are off post-Christmas and return to action on Jan. 3 at Beechwood.
Ludlow: No Christmas tourneys, will play four games over the break. Dec. 21 at Eminence, Dec. 22 vs Calvary Christian, Dec. 27 vs St. Henry and Dec. 29 at Lockland (Ohio).
Newport: After the Swauger, the Wildcats will head to Corbin to play in the Grace Health Cumberland Falls Invitational Dec. 28-30, opening up with Bell County.
Newport Central Catholic: After the Swauger, the Thoroughbreds will head to Williamsburg for the Bill Perkins Holiday Classic, opening up with Lee County.
Ryle: After the Swauger, the Raiders have just one game next week, hosting Milford (Ohio), Dec. 29.
Scott: After they host the Winter Classic, the Eagles play two games next week, hosting Dixie Heights on Dec. 27 and St. Henry on Dec. 29.
Simon Kenton: After playing at Scott this week, the Pioneers head to Ashland for the Ashland Invitational Tournament, opening up with the host Tomcats on Dec. 28 in the three-day tourney.

St. Henry: Not playing in any holiday tourneys, but do have five games over the break, starting with Central Hardin tonight at 6 p.m. They’ll also host Campbell County Wednesday at 7 p.m., at Villa Madonna on Dec. 27 and at Scott Dec. 29.
Villa Madonna: Have two home games this week, tonight vs Trinity Christian and Thursday vs St. Henry before heading to the Ray Zellar Christmas Classic at Whitefield Academy Dec. 27-29 where they open up with Frankfort Christian.
Walton-Verona: Play at the Capital City Classic Holiday Tournament Dec. 21-23, opening up with Apollo at 6 p.m. They’ll then have the rest of the Winter break off before taking on Williamstown in the 8th Region All “A” Classic at Gallatin County on Jan. 2.
GIRLS
Beechwood: Before playing in the Stephanie Wilson next week, Beechwood hosts Newport tonight and hosts Bishop Brossart on Thursday.
Bellevue: Before playing in the Stephanie Wilson next week, Bellevue hosts Boone County tonight and at Newport Central Catholic on Friday.
Bishop Brossart: Hosts Harrison County on Wednesday and plays at Beechwood on Thursday. Next week they play in the Berea Holiday Classic Dec. 27-29, opening up with Boyle County at 1:45 p.m.
Boone County: Plays at Bellevue tonight and hosts Shelby County on Thursday at 2:30 p.m. Has two post-Christmas games, hosting Bracken County on Dec. 29 and Campbell County on Dec. 30.
Campbell County: Plays in the Gateway Holiday Classic at Montgomery County Dec. 21-23, opening up with Boyd County at 6:15 p.m. After Christmas will play at Ludlow on Dec. 28 and Boone County on Dec. 30.
Conner: Opens up at the Adams Buick GMC Holiday Hoopfest at Madison Central Dec. 21-23 with Lafayette at 1:45 p.m. Have two post-Christmas games against Archbishop Alter (Ohio) on Dec. 29 and Bellbrook (Ohio) on Dec. 30.
Cooper: Starts tonight at the Cochran Mechanical/Smith Realtors Holiday HoopFest at Elizabethtown against the host Etown. Then plays Central Hardin and Nelson County the next two days. Follows with three games next week, at Rowan County on Dec. 27, at Russell Dec. 28 and hosts Holy Cross on Dec. 30.
Covington Latin: Just one game over break, a loss last night to Newport. They return Jan. 7 at Beechwood.
Dayton: Played at the Central Bank Jim Rose Classic at Lexington Christian Dec. 17-18, losing to LCA twice and defeating Burgin.
Dixie Heights: Opens up at the Adams Buick GMC Holiday Hoopfest at Madison Central Dec. 21-23 with Perry County Central at 5:15 p.m. They’ll then play Lafayette on Dec. 22, Graves County on Dec. 23. A break comes until Jan. 4 when they host Notre Dame.
Highlands: Plays today at the Assumption Rockets Christmas Tournament against Bryan Station. Tournament runs Dec. 20-22. Has just one game next week when they play at Roger Bacon (Ohio).
Holmes: Also plays in the Assumption Rockets Christmas Tournament Dec. 20-22, opening up with the host Assumption. Has two games next week at Bryan Station Dec. 28 and hosts Notre Dame Dec. 30.
Holy Cross: Opened up with a big win Monday night at the Queen of the Commonwealth against McCracken County. Plays against DuPont Manual today at 7:15 p.m. Will be there the next two days and then returns to action Dec. 29 at Seton (Ohio) and plays at Cooper on Dec. 30.

Lloyd Memorial: Plays at Newport Central Catholic tonight and hosts Mason County on Wednesday at 7:30 p.m.
Ludlow: Starts at the Autokiniton Christmas Classic at Bullitt Central tonight against North Bullitt and runs through Dec. 22. Two games next week include hosting Campbell County on Dec. 28 and hosting Bracken County on Dec. 30.
Newport: Three games this week before the Stephanie Wilson. Defeated Covington Latin Monday night, at Beechwood tonight and hosts Atherton on Thursday at 7:30 p.m.
Newport Central Catholic: Hosts Lloyd Memorial tonight and Bellevue on Friday before the Stephanie Wilson next week.
Notre Dame: Plays in the White, Greer and Maggard Holiday Classic at Lexington Catholic championship tonight against George Rogers Clark, winning the first three games to get there over Henry Clay, Male and Southwestern. Just one game next week at Holmes on Dec. 30.

Ryle: Won their opener in the Queen of the Commonwealth at Bullitt East Monday night against Central.. Continues play tonight against Meade County at 7:15 p.m. The tournament runs through Thursday. Plays three games next week against McCracken County and Franklin-Simpson on Dec. 28 and Bowling Green on Dec. 29.
Scott: Starts play in Owensboro Wednesday in the Independence Bank Kentucky-Indiana Classic against Owensboro at 12:30 p.m. Takes on Muhlenberg County Thursday at 11 a.m. Post-Christmas heads to the Pam Browning Classic at Carroll County Dec. 27-29, opening up with Shelby County.
Simon Kenton: Wrapped up play at the Traditional Bank Holiday Classic at Lexington Catholic on Sunday, a 45-42 overtime victory over South Warren. After a busy first three weeks of the season playing 10 games, Simon Kenton is off until Dec. 29 when they play at Lakota West (Ohio) for two games.
St. Henry: Also plays in the Assumption Rockets Christmas Tournament Dec. 20-22, opening up with Ashland Blazer at 8:15 p.m. Will then have next week off in preparations for the 9th Region All “A” Classic that starts on Jan. 2 against Beechwood.
Villa Madonna: Plays tonight at Mercy McAuley (Ohio) before playing in the Stephanie Wilson next week.
Walton-Verona: Hosts Scott County on Thursday before playing in the Century Bank Holiday Classic at Anderson County Dec. 28-30, opening up with the host Anderson County.
