The Bishop Brossart boys’ basketball team rolled to 3-0 with a 77-35 victory at Holmes (0-1) on a hot shooting night as they hit 50 percent from the field, 13 3-pointers and 82 percent from the free throw line.

The Mustangs put three players in double figures. They were led by a trio of seniors, Brandon Bezold leading the way with 28 points. Logan Woosley and Mason Sepate scored 14 and 12 points respectively. Bezold also had a team-high five of Brossart’s 26 rebounds.

Brossart travels to Ludlow on Saturday for a 2 p.m. game and Holmes plays host to Simon Kenton on Monday at 7:30 p.m.

Scott 84, Beechwood 68

The Eagles (1-1) evened their record with a non-region road win over the Tigers (0-3) hitting 64 percent of their shots and an amazing 24 of 26 from the free throw line free to go with 23 rebounds.

Scott put five players in double figures led with senior guard Brayden Howell leading the way with 19 points. Xarek Sarakatsannis, Jon Evans, Dyan Giffen and Carter Eten scored 18, 14, 13 and 13 points respectively.

Scott travels to Bracken County (1-0) on Friday for a 7:30 p.m. game. Beechwood plays host to Brossart (3-0) on Wednesday at 7:30 p.m.
