Kenton County Animal Services is having an “Adopt one Kitten, Get one Kitten” adoption special on Aug. 3 and Aug. 4.
Every person who adopts a kitten will be able to adopt a second kitten without the additional adoption fee.
“During the warmer months we see an influx of kittens come through our door,” KCAS Director Kelsey Maccombs said. “The shelter is a stressful environment for these little guys and the best place for them is in a loving home. We want to do what we can to have as many adopted.”
The adoption fee for kittens is $120. Each animal receives a first round of vaccinations, a flea/tick preventative, dewormer, a microchip (registered to the new adopter), and is spayed/neutered.
Shelter staff will still be conducting their standard screening and adopter evaluations prior to any adoption being finalized to ensure animals are being placed in the best possible homes. Adoptions are first come, first serve.

Kenton County Animal Services is also looking for new foster homes to help keep vulnerable kittens out of the shelter. Supplies and medical care are provided by KCAS, fosters provide a loving home. Learn more and apply here.
