Silver Grove Mayor, Neal Bedel, and Campbell County Commissioner Tom Lampe won the Italianfest 2019 Mayor’s Bocce Ball Champions held at Pompilio’s in Newport to help kick off the annual Italianfest held on the Newport banks of the Ohio River.

This is the second consecutive win for Silver Grove.

The tournament was held on Wednesday, June 12th. This is an annual event with Mayor’s from Alexandria, Bellevue, Cold Spring, Dayton, Edgewood, Fort Thomas and Newport.

Fort Thomas Mayor Eric Haas played with City Administrative Officer, Ron Dill.

The 28th annual Italian Festival, featuring food, music, drink, games and heritage, kicks off today and runs through Sunday, June 16.

Located at 14 N. Fort Thomas Ave.
