Campbell County Middle School in Alexandria, Kentucky. FTM file. 

Campbell County Middle School is being evacuated because a bomb threat has been verbalized to school officials.

Sources tell Fort Thomas Matters that the threat was received around 10:15 a.m. Officials are scrambling to move the students to a different location by bus, namely Campbell County High School.

Sources also indicate that a subject may be in custody.

Incident @ Campbell Co. Middle School – Everyone is OKAY. Students are being moved to the High School.



Alexandria PD SRO received a threat of suspicious package at CCMS. The student involved is not cooperating and therefore, safety precautions have been taken. All children and staff are being removed by bus to the Campbell Co. High School. Police & Fire are working on making identification. One juvenile suspect is in custody. 



Everyone is SAFE! All children are fine.

This morning a student made a verbal threat at Campbell County Middle School. ALL STUDENTS AND STAFF ARE SAFE!  Per our district emergency protocol, we are evacuating all CCMS staff and students to Campbell County High School.  



We take all threats seriously as the safety of our staff and students are our number #1 priority.  We are working with law enforcement to resolve this matter in order to ensure the safety of all involved.



We will continue to update you with further details.  Please note that all students and staff are SAFE.

UPDATE: 11:41 a.m. 

This morning a student made a verbal threat at Campbell County Middle School.  Per our district emergency protocol, we evacuated all CCMS staff and students to Campbell County High School where they remained safe.

We have received word from law enforcement that the building is now safe for the students to return. Students are currently being transported back to the middle school.  Please know all students are accounted for and are safe to remain at school for the remainder of the day.

We take all threats seriously as the safety of our staff and students are our number #1 priority.  We will continue to provide additional updates as warranted.
