The popular music series, Music@BCM, continues May 21 through August 13 in Devou Park.
Whether you are a fan of the blues, zydeco, salsa, brass band, latin, bluegrass, jazz, Irish, or classic rock, they are all in this season’s lineup.
The May 21 concert, “Bourbon ‘n’ Blues,” features Sweet Alice Hoskins, a Cincinnati-based blues singer who has performed in Paris and Torino, Italy, as well as Ohio, Kentucky, Chicago and Tampa. She began her career in a church gospel choir, and moved on to nightclubs, bars, state fairs and festivals. The winner of several blues awards, she also writes music and has recorded several albums. Alice describes her musical style as “up-tempo, high-energy songs that make everyone else, as well as myself, happy.”
The family-friendly concert will take place in Behringer-Crawford’s amphitheater at 1600 Montague Road in Covington’s beautiful Devou Park. Doors open at 6:00 p.m. with the performance running from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. The series continues each Thursday evening June 4-25 and July 9-August 13. Admission is $5 for adults and $3 for children ages 3-12. Food and beverages are available for purchase.
