Another house in Covington will soon be a newly renovated home.
Housing Opportunities of Northern Kentucky, the Covington-based non-profit that has redeveloped vacant properties across the River Cities, will soon focus on 225 East 20th Street. The Covington City Commission on Tuesday approved the $84,910 requested by HONK to transform the property.
The money comes from federal housing dollars allocated to the city. The total cost of the project is $102,000.
Once completed, HONK will sell the home in a lease-purchase model to an income-qualified household within three years.
