US Senate candidate Alison Lundergan Grimes is expected to visit Mainstrasse Village in Covington on Sunday, The River City News has learned.

The Democratic Secretary of State would be bringing her campaign back to Covington where she has been a frequent visitor in recent weeks as polls show her locked in a tight race with incumbent Republican Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell.

Most recently, Grimes appeared at the Radisson Hotel in Covington with Senator Sherrod Brown (D-OH) calling for funding for the estimated $2.6 billion Brent Spence Bridge project. She then shot and broadcast a campaign ad featuring the bridge.

The River City News has learned that Grimes is expected in Mainstrasse Village at around 1:45 p.m., during the annual Pawrade in which large crowds gather with their costumed dogs.
