The Campbell County Democratic Party knows you are short on time, so it’s offering you the chance to speed-date its candidates in the November election.
On Monday, most Democratic candidates and a pair of judicial candidates will be at the VFW in Alexandria (8261 Alexandria Pike) with a potluck dinner starting at 6 p.m. and then speed-dating from 6:45 – 7:30 p.m., followed by a closing question and answer session.
No, the candidates are not looking for a love connection, but rather the opportunity to explain quickly their positions.
Candidates confirmed to date include Jason Steffen for State Senate, Shae Hornback for State Representative, Ken Rechtin for Judge-Executive, Andrea Janovic for PVA, Rene Heinrich, Melanie Steidel Pelle, and Mark Ramler (all for County Commissioner seats), Marc Muench (for County Clerk), and Justin Sanders and Allison Jones (running against each other for Court of Appeals in a non-partisan race).
