Allegiant Air, the low-fare airline, announced in a press release Tuesday morning that they will expand their flight schedules to include economical, nonstop service from CVG International Airport to Las Vegas, starting this December.

The airline will offer nonstop flights for as low as $81, a welcome change from CVG’s notoriously expensive airfares.

The airline touts itself as the premier way to make a Vegas vacation affordable for Cincinnati travelers. With world-renowned resorts, spas, casinos, and entertainment options for visitors of all ages, Las Vegas is one of the most dynamic travel destinations in the world. Allegiant partners with more than 60 of the areas hotel properties, provides low-cost car rental service, and offers deals on activities like show tickets or helicopter tours, the release states.

“We are thrilled Allegiant is expanding their
service from CVG to Las Vegas. We can now offer our CIN-cinnati
passengers low-cost vacation travel to the Sin City,”
said Candace
McGraw
, chief executive officer, Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky
International Airport. “Las Vegas is the seventh market served by
Allegiant out of CVG. Since February, Allegiant has increased from four
flights per week to 20 flights per week, continuing the trend of CVG
being the fastest growing origination market in Allegiant’s 15 year
history.”

The release does explain, though, that the $81 seats will be somewhat limited and may not be available on all flights. Booking well in advance — for example, travelers need to book now in order to fly for $81 next February — is a requirement.

Allegiant is also offering, for a limited time, a $50 discount for new, round trip reservations that include at least three consecutive nights at one of Allegiant’s partner hotels, booked concurrently with the flight. To redeem the discount, use the promo code CINCY50.
