Join the Campbell County Conservation District Farmland Work Group’s
Fifth Annual Backroads Farm Tour scheduled for Saturday, July 19, 2014, 9
a.m. – 5 p.m. Rain or Shine!
Travel the hills and valleys of Campbell County on a self-guided
driving tour to discover agriculture adventure. The farm gates at 16
farms will open to guests to explore the source of our local food chain:
the farms and vineyards. Inside the gates and fences you will meet
local farmers and vintners. Learn where their farm story began, how they
see our local agriculture growing, and their role as a provider to our
local communities, how food grows, taste farm-fresh treats, and hang out
with farm animals.
The tour is provided to create an identity that celebrates and brings
awareness to Campbell County’s local food production, consumption, and
sustainability.

to plan your day or pick up a hard copy at any of the Campbell County
Public Libraries, our office in the Alexandria Court House, Campbell
County Extension Service in Highland Heights, and from various merchants
around Alexandria.
Don’t forget to bring a cooler and cash!
