BREAKING: Fort Thomas City Council Election Field Narrows

FTM has received word that Nick Root, Fort Thomas resident and candidate for City Council, will not continue his candidacy for the city’s legislative body.

Root, who spoke with FTM over the phone this morning, has decided to end his candidacy for personal reasons. He did not issue a statement.

Root’s withdrawal leaves the following candidates currently vying for a spot on Fort Thomas City Council (incumbents noted with an *):

– Jeff Bezold

– Anthony Bonomini

– Ken Bowman*

– Lisa Kelly*

– Adam Meier

– John Muller

– Roger Peterman*

– Paul L. Whalen

Root’s withdrawal guarantees at least one incumbent will remain on City Council this November. Voters will choose six candidates when voting this fall.
