Parrish Monk said he is trying to
create an organization to assist independent artists and artisans in achieving
success in Northern Kentucky and the greater Cincinnati area.
Monk said he created the
Independent Northern Kentucky Artists and Artisans Business Incubator (INKAA).
INKAA is a business incubator and
business partner for independent artists, and will have an art gallery and
retail shop. INKAA will also serve as a community arts education organization
focused on the empowerment and success of artists.
INKAA will be located next to the
old Mio’s on North Fort Thomas Avenue.
Monk said his goal is to raise
$12,000 by June 16. He is using Kickstarter to raise capital for INKAA.
Monk’s goal is to open INKAA by
August 2014.
Monk said the reason for creating this organization is because
he has reached a level of success and he wants to pay it forward by helping
other artists achieve success and realize their dreams.
