Summer
Reading kicks off on Saturday, June 7 with games, live music and free hot dogs
and sweet treats, while supplies last.
The first
200 children and teens to register for Summer Reading will receive a prize.

Brown Bag Book Club

Noon Monday, June 2

Join this month’s discussion on Inside
Scientology
by Janet Reitman. New members always welcome. Adults. Snacks

Backyard Composting

6:30 p.m. Tuesday, June 3

Join DJ Scully, U.K. Campbell County Extension Agent for Natural
Resources and Environmental Management, for a discussion on how to manage food
and yard waste through composting. Topics will include the basics of composting
like acceptable materials to use, aeration, moisture management, types of
composters, trouble shooting, and how to use compost. Adults. Registration
required.

Summer Reading Kickoff!

Have a booming good time at our Summer Reading Kickoff! Play games,
enjoy music and sign up for a summer of books and prizes. Hot dogs and sweet

Come experience the benefits of yoga for yourself. Improve balance and
strength and reduce stress through this four week program. While participation
in each session is recommended, join us as often as your schedule will allow.
Please bring a yoga mat or towel. No prior yoga experience is necessary. This

Put science-based theories to the test and determine what is fact verses

Enjoy a lunch inspired by Einstein and other famous scientists. Please notify

Few scientists have made as many discoveries as Galileo. Today we’ll
recreate some of his famous experiments and see what we discover. Ages 6 to

Upcycle old CDs using dollar store bargains to create a beautiful candle
holder as a DIY décor, a gift or for wedding centerpieces. Adults. Registration

Recreate the cinema experience with popcorn, candy and a screening of a
popular film. Ages 13 to 18. Registration required. Snacks provided. Movie

Babies

Bring your baby to the “beach” at the library! Make a special
footprint craft, play with beach balls and splash in the “duck pond”.

Observatory Shows Us the Sun

4 p.m. Monday, June 23

The Cincinnati Observatory brings outer space to the library. Come learn
about our closest star and, weather permitting, safely view solar flares and
sun spots.  Ages 6 to 11.  Registration required.

Join The Living Arts and Science Center from Lexington, KY to learn
about energy with hands-on experiments and interactive activities. Ages 5 and

In the 2012-2013 fiscal year, 681,701 people
visited the Library, checking out more than 1 million items.  In addition, 40,713 people attended
2,008 programs offered by the Library, and more than 2,359 public meetings took
place the library’s meeting rooms. 
Public computer use topped more than 117,400 users.

The Library makes every reasonable effort to

The Campbell County Public Library operates
three branches.  The Cold Spring
