Two-week
celebration in June to include readings, photo ops, ice cream socials, and
prizes.
May 27, 2014 – Ft. Thomas, Kentucky – We at Blue Marble Books are so excited for our 35th anniversary in
June that we are dedicating the first two weeks of June to celebrate it! We have
quite a few exciting events planned, but please note that some of the events
require a reservation, so plan accordingly as we have limited space.
We will have book
readings, which will include a photo opportunity with the character and an ice
cream social, with ice cream provided by Graeter’s:

Squirrel Reading Time, Photo Op, and Ice Cream Social – Friday, June 6, 3:00 – 4:00 p.m. and
Saturday, June 7, 11:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. Limit 25 for each date. Please
email, call or stop into the store to register and reserve a favorite
book. No purchase required. Come read with us, get your picture taken with
Scaredy Squirrel, and enjoy some Graeter’s ice cream! - Geronimo
Stilton Reading Time, Photo Op, and Ice Cream Social – Friday, June 13, 3:00 – 4:00 p.m. and
Saturday, June 14 – 11:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. Limit 25 for each date. Please
email, call or stop into the store to register and reserve a favorite
book. No purchase required. Come read with us, get your picture taken with
Geronimo Stilton, and enjoy some Graeter’s ice cream!
In addition to the book readings, we will have a guess the number
of marbles and prize drawing on each Saturday (June 7th and 14th) at 4:00 p.m.
Throughout each week, we will have cloth bag, bookmark, and book giveaways.
You may have noticed there is a trolley in front of the store.
It’s a blast from the past! Our building served as the turnaround point for the
#11 trolley from Cincinnati to Fort Thomas and back. As such, you are invited
to travel down memory lane with us. We will have a memory book in the store in
which you can write about your childhood memories of riding on the #11 trolley.
Finally, we’ve been renovating the Secret Garden (backyard), and
we invite you to check it out. There are several cool features: a pergola, a
mathematical maze of trails through the garden, and animals and fish to spot
along the way.
We are looking forward to celebrating with you! It is because of
our customers and community that we have been in business for 35 years, and we
look forward to the many wonderful years ahead.
