The Sandra Small Gallery (124 West Pike Street, Covington) will host bluegrass music group Ma Crow and the Lady Slippers on Friday night during a new series of event the once-closed gallery is hosting.
Starting at 8 p.m. the band will play and sushi rolls from neighboring Cincinnati Sushi will be available for $5 each. The cover is $10 and you can also bring your own drinks.

shoebox at Shrewdness of Apes
Shrewdness of Apes, the Seventh Street gallery and retail space, opens a group exhibition features works that fit inside a standard shoe box. The title: shoebox.
This exhibition has something for everyone, with drawing, painting, sculpture,photography and mixed media pieces ranging in price from $10 up to $500.
The opening reception starts at 6 p.m. Friday and the exhibit runs through April 24.
