UPDATE:Â The National Weather Service has amended its snow totals for Northern Kentucky to one to two inches of ice and snow.
ORIGINAL POST:
A winter storm warning remains in effect until 1 p.m. Monday as heavy snowfall is expected to arrive on Sunday afternoon.
Kenton County has declared a Level One Snow Emergency, as have multiple other municipalities.
Some minor ice accumulation already happened overnight. A tenth of an inch of ice is expected.
The National Weather Service predicts between four and seven inches of snow to fall across the region as rain turns into snow this afternoon.
Significant snow and sleet along with a layer of ice will result in hazardous roads and reduced visibilities. Travel on the roads on Sunday into Monday will be impacted, the NWS said.
After this latest bout with a very snowy winter, temperatures return to the mid-40s by the end of the week.
