An inmate that escaped from the Balckburn Correctional Complex is back behind bars, because it was too cold to be free.
Robert Vick, 42, was serving a six-year sentenced for second degree burglary and a five-year sentence for second degree criminal possession of a forged instrument at Blackburn, a minimum security facility in Lexington, according to Kentucky State Police.
He disappeared just before 9 p.m. on Sunday.
On Monday afternoon, after being in the cold all night Sunday and Monday morning, Vick appeared at a Lexington hotel and asked the clerk to call police, the Lexington Herald-Leader reports.
According to that report, Vick would have been eligible for parole in March.
