Covington’s Pop-up Storefront Installation competition will place temporary original art installations by local artists in vacant storefront windows to engage local artists in reinvigorating the Pike Street Art District and downtown Covington’s main commercial corridor. This opportunity will provide artists with a unique opportunity to showcase their creativity by transforming vacant storefrontsÂ
In conjunction with Covington Renaissance and the Artisan Enterprise Center, the Pop-up Storefront Installation Competition is going to be part of a number of holiday initiatives to get people out and about, eating, drinking, and shopping locally in Covington. This holiday season Covington is going to be transformed into the North Pole (of Kentucky that is).Â
Imagine this…. sparkling white lights strung across Pike Street reminiscent of the past, two new Pop-up shops opening their doors, a farmers market lining the walls of the AEC, and Santa’s workshop at Roebling Pointe. Come be apart of Christmas in Covington!
