Google, the world’s largest internet search engine, put together seven hot-button political issues and showed which states where people search for those issues the most. As The Washington Post’s The Fix blog notes:
The biggest surprise for us? Kentucky is the state where searches for legalization of marijuana are highest. Yes, Kentucky. One possible explanation: There is an effort to pass a law legalizing medicinal marijuana in the state, which could generate some search interest.
Other issues looked at by Google include gun control, abortion, the national debt, social security, gay marriage, and tax cuts.
