Kayak rentals and year-round seasonal personal kayak storage are now available in Newport at General James Taylor Park. Rates are $15 for the first hour and $10 for every hour after that, and personal storage is available for both seasonal and year-round storage.

Two Campbell County parks to receive funding in state budget
The state’s budget has passed the house and is on its way to be signed by the governor with money to support two Campbell County parks. HB 6 includes $7.5 million distributed to Campbell County Fiscal Court for General James Taylor Park and $5 million for the Fort Thomas Tower Park Community Complex project.
Newport’s General James Taylor Park plans $17M upgrade
The city of Newport and Corporex are seeking $11 million in state funding for $17 million worth of improvements to General James Taylor Park, including walking paths, picnic areas, a dog park, a pavilion and tennis and pickleball courts.
