Sam Elsbernd, a former Holmes High School athlete and assistant basketball coach, was named the new head coach of the Holmes High School boys basketball program, with the goal of restoring the pride in the program and bringing it back to prominence.

Inaugural KHSAA indoor state track and field meet nets several titles for NKY athletes
The inaugural KHSAA indoor state track and field meets took place over the weekend at the Norton Healthcare Sports & Learning Center in Louisville, with Covington Catholic taking home the Class AA boys title while Beechwood finished runner-up in Class A in both the boys and girls meet.
Boys 37th District semifinals: Scott shuts out Brossart in first quarter, cruises to face Campbell County
The Eagles dominated Bishop Brossart 67-28 in the semifinals of the 37th district basketball tournament to move on to their second consecutive district championship game, while Campbell County defeated Calvary Christian 56-25 in the other semifinal.
