The Kentucky Volleyball Coaches Association released their all-state teams for the season and Holy Cross senior Julia Hunt was named Ms. Kentucky Volleyball, the award for the top player in the state. 

Hunt, committed to the University of Washington, helped lead Holy Cross to a 23-11 record while recording 658 kills, 114 blocks, 286 digs and 83 aces in the 2023 season. She led the state in kills heading into the postseason and is 22nd in blocks.

She is rated as Kentucky’s top high school volleyball player, according to prepdig.com. Hunt finished her high school volleyball career with over 2,000 kills and 500 blocks.

Hunt, along with Conner’s Lilly Hamburg, St. Henry’s Alivia Skidmore and Notre Dame’s Ava Tilden were first team All-State selections. 

Ryle’s Kiana Dinn and Notre Dame’s Julis Grace made the second team while Scott’s Milyn Minor and St. Henry’s Anna Guard and Elizabeth Tabeling were honorable mentions.
