Two of the top three teams according to Northern Kentucky High School Boys Soccer Coaches Association met on Tuesday to kick off their seasons.
Covington Catholic hosted Conner and just as the action heated up, lightning put an end to it as the Colonels were leading the Cougars 2-1 at halftime. The game was called at that point.
Scoring for Covington Catholic were Ethan Eibel and Chase Fleck while Mason Ginn scored for the Cougars on an assist from Grady Noble.
