Ludlow High School named Justin Wade as the next head coach of the girls’ basketball program on Monday.

Wade comes up from the middle school level, where he coached the middle school team last season. He’s been a coach of numerous AAU teams and is a Holmes High School grad, carrying 15-plus years of coaching experience with him.

“Coach Wade is excited to inherit a team with great potential,” Ludlow Independent Schools released. “He is looking forward to pushing and challenging each player. Additionally, he wants to instill confidence and stability in his players.”

He’ll replace Ryan Bowman, who resigned after one season with the team. Ludlow went 11-19 under Bowman and graduate just one senior. They’re expected to return their top six scorers, including one of the top scorers in the Ninth Region in Addy Garrett who posted 18.2 points per game. Kiley Huff adds 7.8 points and 8.6 rebounds per game.
