Senior DeAyjah White scored her 1,000th career point helping the Newport girls to a 60-49 win at St. Patrick in Maysville.
White finished with 24 points to lead the Wildcats to the win. Amariana Cook and Rayona Lindsey followed with 16 and 12 points, respectively.
Newport (5-22) travels to Ludlow on Tuesday at 6 p.m.
Sacred Heart 69, Simon Kenton 46
The Pioneers fell to the No. 1 team in the state for the second time in three weeks.
Brynli Pernell led Simon Kenton with 17 points and knocking down three 3-pointers. Anna Kelch had eight points and six rebounds, Haylie Webb with seven points and four rebounds.
Simon Kenton (17-9) returns to their home floor on Monday against Highlands at 7:30 p.m.

Covington Catholic 80, Dixie Heights 40
CovCath doubled up the Dixie Highway rivals for a seventh straight win.
CovCath shot 58% for the game making 11 three-pointers. Athens McGillis scored 30 points to lead the way with Brady Hussey and Cash Harney scoring 18 and 10 points, respectively.
Max Rubemeyer and Hudson Blank led Dixie Heights with nine points each.
CovCath (22-5) travels to Madison Central on Friday for a 7:30 p.m. game.
Dixie Heights (15-11) hosts Williamstown at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday.
Heritage Academy 59, Whitefield Academy 44
The Eagles put four players in double figures in the 15-point victory.
Cade Holtman led the charge with 15 points, Alexander Palmer scored 12, Trent Stone added 11 and Landon Reinhart chipped in 10.
Heritage Academy (12-13) closes out their regular season on Monday at home against Bellevue at 7 p.m.
