Saylor Macke made five 3-pointers on her way to 21 points helping the Highlands girls to a 54-27 victory at St. Henry.

The Bluebirds made nine 3-pointers total in the win. Maren Orme made two on her way to nine points. Amaya Barton and Marissa Green added nine and eight points, respectively.

Jayne Knollman led St. Henry with seven points.

Highlands (18-7) hosts Owen County on Friday at 7:30 p.m.

St. Henry (13-12) hosts Campbell County on Thursday at 7:30 p.m.

Girls Basketball

Holy Cross 73, Bishop Brossart 29

The Indians won their 10th in a row.

Julia Hunt led Holy Cross with 17 points. Aumani Nelson added 14 points with Aaliyah Hayes and Aniyah Carter scoring 11 points each and Miyah Wimzie scored 10.

Holy Cross (22-5) hosts Simon Kenton on Wednesday at 7:30 p.m.

Bishop Brossart (16-8) hosts Bracken County on Friday at 7:30 p.m.

Walton-Verona 88, Carroll County 43

The Bearcats earned the convincing 8th Region win, placing five players in double figures.

Elin Logue led the way scoring 19 points and Braylin Terrell scored 14. Cam Christy, Avery Geiman and Ava Kendall followed with 13, 12 and 10 points respectively.

Walton-Verona (16-9) travels to Gallatin County on Friday for a 7:30 p.m. game.

Boys Basketball

Beechwood 81, Trimble County 52

Beechwood bombed away, knocking down 16 three-pointers in the blowout victory.

The Tigers outrebounded the host Raiders, 31-20.

Jack Sullivan led Beechwood with 25 points. Carson Blackburn and Quinn Eviston followed scoring 15 and 11 points, respectively.

Beechwood (13-12) travels to St. Henry on Tuesday at 7:30 p.m.

St. Henry 72, Eminence 31

The Crusaders posted their most lopsided win of the season on the trip down Interstate 71.

Andrew Reis led the way scoring 21 points. Brady Shea and Caden Kunstek followed scoring 17 and 11 points, respectively.

St. Henry (9-14) hosts Beechwood on Tuesday at 7:30 p.m.

Villa Madonna 57, Holmes 47

The Vikings won their second in a row in the road victory.

Henry Thole posted 15 points and 17 rebounds, Aiden Day with 13 points and seven rebounds. Villa grabbed 56 rebounds in the win.

Villa Madonna (11-13) hosts St. Patrick on Wednesday at 6:30 p.m.

Holmes (1-16) hosts Carroll County on Tuesday at 7 p.m.
