Despite losing six of their top eight players from the rotation last season, the Bishop Brossart girls basketball team is off to a 3-0 start to the season against 10th Region foes.
Brossart took down the visitors from Pendleton County, 59-36.
Zoee Meyers led the way scoring 14 points with Greylee Kramer and Kylie Smith adding 13 and 11, respectively. Rachel Shewmaker made 7-of-9 free throws on her way to nine points. Shewmaker and Hadley Eviston led the way with five rebounds apiece as they won the rebounding battle 29-19 over Pendleton.
Brossart (3-0) plays at Bellevue on Wednesday at 7:30 p.m.
Dayton 51, Villa Madonna 49
The Devils won their second in a row holding off the visiting Vikings.
Axie Jimenez and Tayah Smith led Dayton scoring 19 and 12, respectively.
Dayton (2-2) plays at Newport on Wednesday at 6 p.m. Villa Madonna (1-4) ventures to Bellevue on Thursday at 7 p.m.
