Three of the sixteen student-athletes from across the state have been named members of the 2025-26 KHSAA Student Advisory Group hail from Northern Kentucky.
Beechwood’s Owen McCormack, Scott’s Milyn Minor and Newport Central Catholic’s Alannah Kues were elected to the advisory group.
The leaders will represent the KHSAA at the NFHS National Student Leadership Summit on July 14-17 in Indianapolis.
The group will also assist in the planning and execution of the KHSAA HYPE Student Leadership Conferences scheduled for Sept. 29-30 at the Central Bank Center in Lexington.
The group attending the NSLS will split into groups and work through topical discussions on relevant and contemporary issues. The free program is designed to help students hone their leadership abilities and teach them how to effectively influence and lead their peers in a positive manner.

McCormack plays basketball at Beechwood and has been a starter the past two seasons. This past season he averaged 8.3 points per game for the Tigers, shooting 49% from the field, 45% from three and 73% from the free throw line and was third on the team in rebounding with 3.8 rebounds per game.
Minor is a standout volleyball player at Scott, winning back-to-back 10th Region Player of the Year honors. She helped lead the Eagles to the state semifinals this past season and was near the top of the state in kills with 484 on the season. Minor finished as the team leader in kills, second in blocks, fourth in digs and third in aces.

Kues runs track and field at NewCath and participates in the hurdles, shot put and discus.
All three will be entering their senior year and part of the class of 2026.
