The LINK nky Team of the Week for Dec. 4-10 presented by Ortho Cincy is the Ryle archery team.
The Raiders dominated the vote, collecting nearly 90% as they ran away from the competition.
Earning Ryle Team of the Week honors was their performance at the Cooper Shoot Out archery tournament on Dec. 9.
RYLE ARCHERY
The Ryle archery team won the Cooper Shoot Out on Dec. 9 at Cooper High School, defeating 10 other teams that participated.
The Raiders finished with a team score of 3,351, 68 points ahead of second place Conner.
Peyton Scott and Jacob Klette led the Raiders by scoring 285, Scott with 18 tens, Klette with 17. Following the pair was Timmy DePue with a 283 and Amanda Buckley with a 282. All four placed in the top 10 overall, Scott fourth overall and the top girls finisher, Klette fifth overall and fourth in the boys division, DePue sixth and Buckley ninth overall and second in the girls division.
Christian Wallace (280), Jonah Rettig (279), Kanishk Devarakonda (279), Thomas Evans (276)and Gwen Harmon (276) all posted solid scores as well.
Ryle followed up their strong performance with a victory at the 14th Annual Twenhofel Winter Tournament in Independence over the weekend. They defeated the 11-team field by 109 points.
