The LINK nky Team of the Week for Oct. 2-8 presented by Ortho Cincy is the Beechwood girls cross country team.
Beechwood pulled away from the Bishop Brossart girls soccer team as the week went on, tallying over 5,000 votes and a little more than 800 votes than the Mustangs.
Earning Beechwood Team of the Week honors was their performance at the Northern Kentucky Athletic Conference meet in Burlington on Oct. 7.
BEECHWOOD GIRLS CROSS COUNTRY

Beechwood took home first place at the Northern Kentucky Athletic Conference meet at Idlewild Park in Burlington, winning in the overall standings with 44 points.
The Tigers were led by Lily Parke, finishing second overall in a time of 19:57.70 and taking home medalist honors in Division I. Beechwood snagged four of the top five spots in the Division I standings and five of the top 17 spots overall out of the 14 teams that competed.
Following Parke was Nora Wilke (20:31.60), Charli Gerrein (21:05.20), Annie Harris (21:38.20) and Isabel Ginter (21:47.70) for the Tigers top five spots scoring.
The Tigers followed that up with yet another first place finish at the Woodford County Invitational on Oct. 14 in Versailles. They had their top five runners finish in the top 20, led by Gerrein in a time of 20:08.31 and placing fifth. Wilke placed seventh (20:13.94), Lana Holt 13th (21:10.41), Harris 15th (21:14.00) and Ginter 17th (21:20.81).
Beechwood’s next meet comes on Saturday when they compete in the Class 1A, Region 4 meet on Oct. 21 at Sherman Elementary in Dry Ridge.
