The Kentucky men’s basketball team is coming to Northern Kentucky.

Not to play the Norse, but for it’s annual Blue-White game on Oct. 21 at Truist Arena in Highland Heights.

After playing in Pikeville a season ago and seeing the success with the ticket revenue benefitting the Team Eastern Kentucky Flood Relief Fund and the Team Western Kentucky Tornado Relief Fund, the Wildcats will head North.

Tickets will go on sale Thursday at 10 a.m., with prices ranging from $10-$25. They can be purchased online through Ticketmaster.com or in person at the Truist Arena box office. Tickets will not be available for purchase through the UK Ticket Office.

The game, presented by Kroger, tips off at 6 p.m., with doors opening at 4:30 p.m.

Kentucky boasts the nation’s No. 1 recruiting class with seven first-year signees including five top-25 recruits in Aaron Bradshaw, Rob Dillingham, Justin Edwards, Reed Sheppard and D.J. Wagner.

Additionally, Kentucky signed one of the top graduate transfers in Tre Mitchell, who has played in 102 career games, making 92 starts, and has scored more than 1,390 career points. Mitchell has played at UMass, Texas and West Virginia.

The ‘Cats will also return Antonio Reeves, who averaged 14.4 points per game a season ago and was named the SEC’s Sixth Man of the Year. Sophomores Ugonna Onyenso and Adou Thiero also return. Onyenso had a per-40-minute average of 5.7 blocks per game, while Thiero played nearly 10 minutes a game and was a spark off the bench. 

In addition, Walker Horn is also on the roster. The sophomore is the son of Northern Kentucky men’s basketball coach Darrin Horn. Walker Horn played at Covington Catholic his sophomore and junior year before transferring to Westlake High School in Texas his senior year.
