The Saints collected 56% of the vote on their way to the recognition. Three others hovered in-between 10-20% of the vote with the Walton-Verona baseball team finishing second with nearly 20% of votes.

Earning the Saints Team of the Week honors was their performance at the NAIA national tournament in which they made their third straight national championship game.

The Saints were just a few minutes shy of repeating as NAIA National Champions, but ultimately fell short, 63-52 to Clarke University in the NAIA National Championship.

They won five games in their path to the title game, defeating Seed Point (73-47), Concordia (98-69), Cumberlands (91-61), Montana Western (66-62) and Central Methodist (71-61) leading into Saturday night’s matchup in Sioux City, Iowa.

Zoie Barth, Courtney Hurst and Emily Simon were all named All-Americans for their body of work over the 2022-23 season. Barth was named to the second team while Hurst and Simon were honorable mentions.

Thomas More went 31-4 during the 2022-23 season in making their third straight national championship game. They’ll now look forward to transitioning to Division II next season.
