The LINK nky Team of the Week for Jan. 16-22 presented by Ortho Cincy is the Dixie Heights archery team.
The Colonels received over 19,000 votes which was 52% to nearly edge the Scott Swim and Dive team who received 47% of the vote.
Earning Dixie Heights the honors was when they shot a season-high 3,212 to take first place in the 10-team Scott High School “Let ‘Em Fly” Invitational on January 21.
DIXIE HEIGHTS ARCHERY TEAM

It was the Colonels first tournament win of the season, edging out Beechwood by nine. The top 12 scoring archers included Maddisen Strunk, Spencer Meyers, Hallie Kriege, Grace Barnett, Zach Lawson, Landon Ackerman, Jae Estenfelder, Adyson Rigney, Ian Smith, Erik Richardson, Katelyn Raber and Kayla Forton.
Strunk’s score of 282 earned her medalist honors in the girl’s high school division. Kriege (277) and Barnett (275) finished in fourth and fifth place, respectively, in the girls high school division. Meyers (278), Lawson (275), and Ackerman (273) finished in fifth, ninth, and 10th place, respectively, in the boy’s high school division.
Congratulations to the other nominees: Scott swimming and dive team, Covington Catholic Basketball team, and the Cooper Girls Basketball team.
