The 211 combined points between the two tied for the 24th highest scoring game in KHSAA history on Monday night in Walton.
Final numbers in this one: 143 field goal attempts, 45 three-point attempts and 76 free throw attempts.
The Bearcats (6-1) had five players in double figures led by Carter Krohman and Julian Dixon with 23 points apiece, Dixon adding 14 rebounds. Aaron Gutman chipped in 20 points, 13 rebounds while Max Montgomery added 17 points, Zach Smith tossing in 15 points. Krohman surpassed 1,000 career points in the victory.
Walton-Verona plays at North Oldham Tuesday night.
The Eagles (2-5) lost their second overtime game of the season. They were led by Xarek Saraktannis with 36 points as he knocked down five 3-pointers. Dylan Giffen and Carter Etan added 21 points apiece, Etan hitting all seven field goal attempts and pulling down 15 rebounds.
Scott plays at Paris on Wednesday.
Ludlow 75, Bellevue 45
The Panthers (4-2) won their third straight game, handing Bellevue (3-1) their first loss of the season.
Ludlow was paced by Jaxson Rice with 29 points, Spencer Brandenburg hitting five of Ludlow’s 11 three-pointers in the contest and finishing with 17 points, Ethan Powell adding 15. Elijah Perrin just missed a double-double with eight points and 10 rebounds.
Noah Frommeyer led the Tigers with 20 points.
Bellevue will again to attempt to match their 2021-22 win total on Thursday when they play at Heritage Academy.
Ludlow looks to make it four in a row when they host Dayton on Thursday.

The Mustangs improved to 4-2 with a 10th Region victory on Monday over Bracken County (2-7).
Zoee Myers led the way with 18 points, Molly Kramer adding 11 points and six rebounds. Olivia Lloyd chipped in 10 with seven rebounds, Bella Rowe scoring nine points.
Bishop Brossart returns to action on Saturday in a big 37th District tilt with Campbell County.
Highlands 49, Mercy McAuley (OH) 41
The Bluebirds won their second straight, improving to 5-2 with an eight-point victory over Mercy McAuley.
Alyssa Harris, Marissa Green and Kaylee Mills led Highlands with 14, 10 and nine points, respectively.
Despite hitting just 6-of-19 from the 3-point line, the Bluebirds were efficient from the charity stripe, knocking down 11-of-15 attempts.
They take on Holmes on Saturday on the road.
