Kentuckians For The Commonwealth to hold Rock the Flock Out fundraiser at Southgate House Revival on November 22nd!
Kentuckians For The Commonwealth is excited to announce Rock the Flock Out at the Southgate House Revival, a fundraiser for KFTC featuring performances from Jordan Smart, Siri Imani, and Moonbeau! Join us on November 22nd at 6 pm to Rock the Flock Out, NKY!
Over the past year members of the Northern Kentucky Chapter Kentuckians For The Commonwealth have been working with allies in our community to push back against Automatic License Plate Readers from companies like Flock, Motorola, and Axon. We are excited to be partnering with these amazing and talented artists to support that work, and also to talk about how this technology, and related mass surveillance systems, are tied into the other work KFTC does – both locally and across the Commonwealth.
Many of these performers have lent their voices to similar causes, and are active in both the local music and activism scenes. They also represent diverse styles of music – from Jordan Smart’s folk, to Siri Imani hip-hop, and Moonbeau’s indie pop. These musicians will move you to think, to act, and to dance!
Members of Kentuckians For The Commonwealth will be on hand to talk about how folks can get involved in fighting against mass surveillance and around our other issues, invite folks to join Kentuckians For The Commonwealth, and promote our work. There also will be resources and information about other current campaigns and some ally organizations as well. We hope you join us there!
Tickets are on sale now for $15 in advance at bit.ly/RockTheFlockOut, or $30 at the door. The event will begin at 6 pm, and the concert is a benefit for Kentuckians For The Commonwealth. Anonymous members are matching the first $1000 raised at the event to support KFTC’s work.
