Campbell County Public Library (CCPL)’s Newport Branch is the site of much excitement this November. Bluegrass singer and mandolin player Ashleigh Graham, along with her newly-formed band Appalachian Highway, featuring Jason Fraley (acoustic guitar), Matt Ledbetter (dobro) and bluegrass jack of all trades Steve Wilson (banjo, perform on Friday, Nov. 6 at 7 pm as a part of CCPL’s Signature Series.
Signature Series provides the public with free, educational and entertaining experiences intended to encourage community socialization and enrichment through events with well-known authors, performers and speakers.
Additionally, on Saturday, Nov. 7, the annual Newport Art Bazaar takes place from 11 am-4 pm. At this event, local artists set up shop inside the library for patrons to browse and explore many different mediums of art such as woodwork, crochet, ceramics, jewelry, painting and more. All art is priced under $30.
Concurrently, the Friends of the Library Book Sale is on the lower level of the Newport Branch from 9am-5pm. Prices range from 25 cents to $4; select books are free.
