LOUISVILLE, Ky. (Oct. 14, 2026) – No One Left Outside (NOLO), based in Louisville, is a free website
that helps people find food, shelter and other help when life gets hard. Kentucky and Indiana go live
together on Wednesday, October 14, 2026. Free. No account required to search at
nooneleftoutside.org.
People can start with their county, or just type what they need in plain words.
NOLO is built to show where its listings came from. Where NOLO has it, a listing shows its source and
the date it was last checked. When a detail is not known, the site says “unknown” instead of guessing.
New at launch: in Kentucky, guides for utilities (shutoff help), documents and ID, veterans and eviction
help (Not legal advice.), plus new housing tools; in Indiana, guides for utilities, documents and ID,
veterans, housing, eviction help (Not legal advice.) and senior support.
Indiana also gets step-by-step guides for food assistance after a missed interview, Medicaid renewal,
unemployment appeals, child support, hospital bills, kinship care, toddler development, WIC, nursing
home care concerns, and disability checks that may stop or are under review.
In immediate danger, call 911. In Louisville, anyone in danger can get on any TARC bus and tell the
driver “I need a ride to safety”; according to the Center for Women and Families, the driver alerts TARC
headquarters, which coordinates a response to get them safely to the Center.
Coverage varies by place and by type of help. NOLO is not a complete list of programs in Kentucky or
Indiana. Local help listed varies by place. Dial 211 for more options.
NOLO is a tool for finding help. It does not replace Medicaid, SNAP or any other program, and it does
not give legal, medical or eligibility advice. Not legal advice.
Being listed is not a promise. A website check does not mean a program confirmed its listing, has
space today, or will accept someone. Each program sets its own rules; call to confirm.
“I started No One Left Outside at a previous job, because no matter how much time I gave,
there was always a need I didn’t have a quick enough answer to. It began as a resource list.
Now we build every page around one test: can someone find the right next step in five
minutes or less? Someone with 3% battery and a couple of minutes of Wi-Fi should be able
to find help as easily as someone sitting at home.

Anyone can use “Report a change” on the site to flag a listing that is wrong, closed, missing or a
duplicate. Every report stays a proposal until a person reviews it.
Using NOLO is free, and no account is required to search. The site shows no ads. You do not need an
account to browse, search or report a change, NOLO does not build profiles of visitors, and it does not
use ad pixels. NOLO hides the street address for places marked confidential, such as domestic violence
shelters.
Searching and closure reports need no account. Case managers can request a helper account at
nooneleftoutside.org/frontline/join; a person approves each request.
When someone searches for something urgent, NOLO shows “Call 911” and “Call or text 988” before
any listing.
