America250 40,000 Pound Food Donation to Help Feed Northern Kentucky Families
The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints partners with Be Concerned Pantry
to help Northern Kentucky families in need
WHAT: As part of the nationwide America250 “America Gives” initiative, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints will deliver a 40,000 pound truckload of food to Be Concerned | The People’s Pantry in Covington, Kentucky.
The donation is part of the Church’s commitment to provide 250 truckloads of food to 250 food banks across the United States during 2026 in recognition of the 250th anniversary of the United States.
WHO: Leadership from Be Concerned | The People’s Pantry and The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints will participate in a brief program along with the food delivery.
WHEN: Thursday, October 8, 2026 at 10:00 a.m.
WHERE: Be Concerned | The People’s Pantry, 1100 West Pike Street, Covington, KY 41011
WHY: This food delivery will help replenish Be Concerned’s pantry and support ongoing efforts to provide food and other basic necessities to families in need throughout Northern Kentucky.
Be Concerned is the largest free food program in Northern Kentucky. The organization reports that it fed 44,660 individuals in 2025, serving more than 14,500 households. It also rescues an average of approximately 100,000 pounds of food each month.
The October delivery continues an established partnership between Be Concerned and The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. In 2024, the Cincinnati Stake delivered more than 26,000 pounds of food to Be Concerned, helping replenish the pantry during a particularly important time of year for families in need.
MEDIA OPPORTUNITY: Members of the media are invited to attend the food delivery and brief program at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, October 8.
Representatives from Be Concerned and The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints will be available for media interviews & photo/video opportunities of the food delivery.
